Private Meeting Rooms

Newcastle Herald

Saturday December 9, 2000

THERE are times when technology can't replace a friendly face and a helping hand.

And that is why, along with new state-of-the-art technology, Hunter United has provided extra staff and private meeting rooms at its new-look Garden City branch.

`Customers may need to discuss loans or to seek help in budgeting, or they may be doing it tough financially,' said Hunter United marketing manager Chris Fibbens.

`Whatever the reason, you can always talk to a friendly and understanding staff member at Hunter United.'

Mr Fibbens said private meeting rooms, located away from the main branch area to ensure confidentiality, had been provided as part of the Garden City branch makeover.

Customers wanting to speak to staff members in private were advised to make appointments to avoid being kept waiting, he said.

At the same time, the sophisticated banking technology available at the branch is available for quick transactions.

The number of ATMs - two inside the branch and one outside - are among the facilities designed to reduce waiting time for customers.

The exterior ATM is accessible whenever Garden City is open, even if the Hunter United branch itself is closed.

Good news for customers is that transactions on all three ATMs are free of fees for members using their Hunter United cards.

They don't even count as any of the 12 fee-free transactions allowed monthly.
